It's been five years since the coronavirus pandemic, and while many businesses have recovered, the impact it had on the music industry still lingers.

Acey Slade is a musician who has played with bands like the Misfits, Joan Jett and Dope, but like many who have a passion and are good at it, it doesn't always pay the bills.

During the COVID pandemic, touring stopped, which meant Slade had to come up with another way to support his family.

That's when he and his wife, Meiling, opened Catfight Coffee in Boonton.
