Several vehicles were involved in a crash on the Southern State Parkway early Sunday morning.

The Lakeview Fire Department responded after one of the vehicles burst into flames.

Five total vehicles were involved in the collision, according to fire officials.

The crash happened on the westbound side of the parkway, near exit 19 in West Hempstead.

A light pole also came down, officials say.
