The MTA is hosting eight, 60-minute public webinars this month as an education of sorts for those who will soon face the reality of paying congestion pricing.
The webinars will explain how the Congestion Relief Zone works, what discounts and exemptions will be available, and what you need to know before tolling begins on Sunday, Jan. 5.
Federal officials approved the MTA's new rate structure last week, so tolling can begin Jan. 5.
The new rate structure lowered the base tolls from $15 to $9, phasing in the full $15 by 2031.
