A 31-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash involving a Jeep in Centereach on Saturday evening.
Suffolk County police said Samantha Vega was driving a Jeep southbound on Nicolls Road when a motorcycle struck the rear of the vehicle.
The motorcyclist, Conner McDonald of Centereach, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Vega was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
