A hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck shut down part of I-95 north in Darien and left one person with serious injuries.

The Department of Transportation says the crash happened around 7 a.m. between exits 11 and 12 on the northbound side of the highway.

Police say the pickup truck left the scene and are asking for the public's help locating the vehicle. Investigators believe it is a dark-colored pickup truck with a missing side-view mirror and damage consistent with a sideswipe crash.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
