A 29-year-old Somerset man was killed after being ejected from a motorcycle during a crash with a pickup truck in Bridgewater Sunday. Bridgewater Township Police responded to the crash at about 4:12 p.m. In the area of Finderne Avenue and Main Street. When officers arrived, they found a disabled Ford F-150 truck in the intersection that was being operated by a 68-year-old Somerville man. Police also found a heavily-damaged 2014 Suzuki GSX motorcycle in the same intersection. According to police, the operator of the motorcycle had been ejected from the bike and was found unresponsive and not breathing in the roadway. Officers began CPR and continued life-saving measures until paramedics arrived and transported the 29-year-old to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville where he was pronounced deceased. Investigators determined that the motorcycle was heading southbound on Finderne Avenue in the right lane and was approaching the intersection at Est Main Street while the Ford F-150 was traveling north on Finderne toward the same intersection. "he Ford F-150 attempted to make a left turn onto East Main Street and turned directly into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Ford F-150, causing the motorcycle operator to be ejected," police said in a statement.

The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Bridgewater Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit.
