A teen has admitted to driving drunk in a crash that killed another teen in Suffolk County.
Luis Gonzalo Barrionuevo Fuertes, 18, of Moriches, had seven teens packed into his Toyota Camry to head to an East Hampton beach in June of 2025, prosecutors say.
Barrionuevo Fuertes was driving 74 mph in a 30 mph zone when he hit a tree.
Scarleth Samaniego-Urgiles, a junior at East Hampton High School, was killed in the crash.
Another teen broke their spine, according to Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney.
He will be sentenced next month and faces up to 12 years in prison.
