Residents of the Greene Homes community in Bridgeport are demanding answers as an elevator outage in Building 2 enters its fourth consecutive week.

Upper-floor tenants, including those with limited mobility, report that the breakdown is severely impacting their daily lives by forcing them to navigate six flights of stairs or leaving them confined to their apartments.

Frustrated residents state that management has failed to act swiftly to resolve the issue.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport Housing Authority Executive Director Jillian Baldwin says the agency is working diligently to usher in a resolution while awaiting replacement parts and planning for site redevelopment.
