A minivan rammed into a pole Wednesday afternoon in Levittown.

Police say it happened around 3:09 p.m. on Hempstead Turnpike and Shelter Lane.

Westbound lanes between the intersections of Division Avenue and Wolcott Road were temporarily closed following the incident.

One person was hospitalized, according to police. The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
