Military training is ramping up, bringing more noise and activity to the area around West Point this summer.

U.S. Military Academy officials say training sessions are now underway and will continue through mid-August.

The exercises include infantry drills, weapons training and flying operations.

Drivers in the area may also notice more military vehicles, especially along Routes 293 and 9W.

Officials are urging drivers to use caution and give military convoys plenty of space.
