There are two weeks until the fall equinox. This means our days continue to shorten in terms of the amount of daylight. They will continue to shorten until we reach the winter solstice, the shortest day of daylight of the year.
While it may not officially be autumn yet, it certainly feels fresh and fall-like out there. We continue on a trend of crisp mornings and comfortable afternoons. 'Tis the season for layers! Cold in the shade, warm in the sun this week. Temperatures at their highest will be largely in the mid- to upper 70s for the week ahead! At their coolest? In the upper 50s.
Rain mostly stays away for the work week, with a low chance of rain returning for Wednesday for a system that will largely pass to the south and east of us. We could see some sprinkles or light showers from the edges of it, but this does not look to be impactful rain – just inconvenient. At this time, we are not expecting thunderstorms or any other concerns-- just some fall showers.
High rip current risks through Monday evening with moderate-high rip current risks on Tuesday.
TUESDAY: Highs in the mid-70s, lows in the upper 50s. Sunny.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy, with a sprinkle or light shower chance. Highs in the low 70s, lows in the low 60s.
THURSDAY: Sunshine and clouds. Highs in the upper 70s, lows in the low 80s.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-70s, lows in the upper 50s.
WEEKEND: Temperatures in the mid-70s, with lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. Mostly sunny and dry, with low rain chances by the tail end of the weekend.
