Metro-North Railroad has announced that Justin Vonashek will take over as president starting April 1, succeeding Catherine Rinaldi, who has been the first woman to lead the railroad.
Rinaldi is set to retire after serving seven years as president and accumulating 20 years with the MTA. Under her leadership, Metro-North achieved the best on-time performance in its history.
Vonashek, who joined Metro-North in 2016, has been serving as the railroad's executive vice president and chief operating officer since 2023.
