Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport has welcomed Ponya, an 11-month-old female red panda.

The cute creature from the Detroit Zoo will be making her public debut this week at the Natt Family Red Panda Habitat.

Ponya's arrival is part of a collaborative effort to ensure the long-term survival of red pandas.
