A massive five-alarm fire ripped through businesses in Longwood late Thursday.
According to The FDNY, the fire started around 10:30 p.m. at 855 Prospect Ave. That address is a taxpayer business.
The flames quickly spread to neighboring businesses, and the roof of the six-story building connected to those businesses. All those tenants were evacuated out of their homes.
The manager of a 99 cents store also destroyed in the fire says he is devastated.
Fire officials say one person has minor injuries but refused medical attention on scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
