A two-car crash along State Highway 70 in Manchester Township left a woman dead on Thursday afternoon.
Police responded to the scene near mile marker 43 at around 2 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 2019 Honda Civic facing north in a westbound lane with heavy damage to the front of the vehicle and a 2022 Chevy Silverado facing west in the westbound lane with heavy damage to the front.
The driver of the Honda was identified as 53-year-old Tammy Huth, of Toms River. She was unresponsive when officers found her and later pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevy was identified as 32-year-old Colin Michaelis, of Lindenwold. He suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
