A suspect has been arrested for fatally striking a man on the Major Deegan Expressway Friday in The Bronx, police said.

Authorities say 47-year-old Robert Blakney was driving a Chevy suburban southbound when he struck the victim around 5 a.m. EMS responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Police say Blakney remained at the scene of the accident. He has been charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
