A 26-year-old man was slashed inside the Rockaway Avenue subway station on Sunday evening, according to the NYPD.

The attack happened just before 6 p.m. on the southbound C train platform.

Investigators say a stranger walked up to the man and slashed him in the face.

Paramedics took the victim to Brookdale Hospital. He is expected to recover, according to police.

Police say his attacker boarded a C train after slashing. He was last seen wearing dark colored clothing.

No arrests have been made as of Sunday night.
