A man is accused of behaving inappropriately near an elementary school in Oyster Bay.

In a letter to parents, the Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District says the man was parked in a gray sedan near the corner of Lexington Avenue and Orchard Street, close to Theodore Roosevelt School, on Thursday. They did not say exactly what the man was doing. The district says the incident was reported to police, and officers responded to the area.

The school district has requested police to be present at Theodore Roosevelt School during class arrivals Friday as a precaution.

No arrests have been made.
