Police are searching for two men accused of attacking and robbing a commuter on a subway platform in Clinton Hill on May 19.
According to authorities, the incident happened at the Clinton-Washington Avenues subway station, where a 35-year-old man was standing on the platform and was approached by two unknown suspects.
Police say the suspects confronted the victim and showed him a firearm before assaulting him. Officers say the men repeatedly struck the victim in the head with the weapon. After the attack, the suspects ran away from the station with the victim’s cellphone.
The victim suffered facial bruising but is expected to recover.
The attack comes on the heels of another violent incident earlier this week on the opposite side of Brooklyn in East New York. In that case, a man standing on a subway platform in East New York was stabbed in a separate assault, also involving two suspects, on the same day.
As of now, police have not made any arrests and are continuing to search for the two individuals involved in the Clinton Hill robbery.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
