Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man injured early Sunday morning in Howell Township.

According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, police were called to Alexander Avenue shortly after midnight following reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital. Officials have not released additional details about his condition.
