A Pawling man is facing charges following a months-long public lewdness investigation in Putnam County.

Richard Davis was arrested Friday after the investigation, authorities said.

Officials say the incident dates back to February.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says Davis was parked at the Acme supermarket on Route 22 in Patterson.

Investigators say two people in a nearby vehicle reported seeing him expose himself and engage in a lewd act.

Davis is now charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child.
