A man is facing charges after a pocketknife was thrown at another person during an altercation at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, according to New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the mall around 9:10 p.m. Friday after an assault was reported.

State police said a pocketknife was thrown at the victim during an altercation, causing minor injuries.

Jonathan Moore, 36, of Orange, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and terroristic threats.

Moore was taken to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing.
