29m agoA man was sent to the hospital after police say he lit a fire inside a fourth floor apartment on 4130 Carpenter Ave, police say.
Authorities say the man jumped out of a window trying to get away and was arrested shortly after.
He was brought to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and is in stable condition. No charges have been filed yet.
The FDNY says crews had the fire under control in less than an hour and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
At least two firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the FDNY.
