Police are looking for a man who stabbed his roommate on the LIU Post campus.
Brookville police say they were notified of an assault at around 10 p.m. on Friday at the North Shore Equestrian Center, a space on campus leased by the university. The victim and the suspect both worked at the center and had gotten into an argument while both were intoxicated.
Police identified the suspect as Eddy Jameh Villalobos Novoa, 44, who they say allegedly stabbed the victim. Novoa was last seen wearing a white or grey jacket and a navy blue or black baseball cap.
There is currently no danger posed to the public, according to police.
Novoa is wanted for assault and possession of a weapon.
LIU released the following statement regarding the incident:
The incident reported at North Shore Equestrian Center involved individuals who are not affiliated with Long Island University and occurred on property operated and managed by the North Shore Equestrian Center. No members of the LIU community were involved and at no point was there any threat to the University, its students, faculty, staff or campus operations.
