So we made it to Friday at time for Main Street Connecticut. A chance to showcase our local towns and cities and the things that they have to offer today. We're at Wilton News 12, Connecticut's Mark Soall is at the historical Christmas barn. Hey, Mark, how you doing? Well, Becky, I've been told when I ask how you're doing, please just say good. Don't start telling us. So you're good. Good morning. Good morning. Yeah, I'm good. Yeah, basically I'm good. This is just one of the, the funny little saying they have here at the door when you walk in, they're coasters. Uh, they're made in Brooklyn, Connecticut and, uh, funny stuff. Uh, just to get you started when you come in here again, some amazing things here. This tree is full of decorations that are designed by a woman in Poland. She's in Krakow. These are handmade. Now, we're, we're talking, you know, some, some hefty prices there maybe, but you can get stuff in here for as little as four bucks on up. I mean, there's just so much to see and do here and, uh, yeah, come, come around the corner here, Kenny. Uh, we're gonna get acquainted again with uh Gary and Jen Bean. Thank you again for being with us. Great to have you here. So, what can you tell us about what you have in this room here? Where should we start? Well, how about right over here? Um You probably recognize them if your mom or your aunt or your grandmother didn't have them. They are, they're buyers. Carolers made designed by a woman down in Pennsylvania and Chaon. They're actually, they're not dolls. People call them dolls. They're made from hangers wire hangers and everything is handmade by them. Um, and they see and you can bend them and make them, you know, move a little bit but people come and collect them, um, for, for people that we, we actually put a little star on the lapels of each of the new ones for this year. So if you're buying, if people are buying them as a gift, they know what's new and they won't repeat what they've already gotten for their loved ones, but they love them. They're very nostalgic. All right, we, uh, we're gonna get, uh, a quick little pan of this as well and, uh, as we do, um, coming up in our next hour, we're gonna take you to one more room here and we're gonna introduce you to smoking men and I'm just gonna leave it at that Becky

Well, we made it to Friday. It's time for main Street Connecticut. A chance to showcase our local towns and cities and the things they have to offer today. We're in Wilton News 12, Connecticut's Mark. Sudal is at the historical Christmas barn. And, uh, you've been from one beautiful room to another Mark. Where are you now? Oh, there's so much to see here. Becky. Look on this Christmas tree. I found Ted Lasso and I found buddy the elf. Hey, buddy, hope you find your dad. Well, we found Jen and gary bean again who have been so nice to be with us this morning. Thank you again. We've been talking about these smoking men which I was intrigued by. What are they show, show us how this works. These are made in Germany. They're actually, they were, when they were first made, they were made to look like the common man. Um, so can you see that guy there? Kenny Kenny's gonna zoom in. You can see the, the smoke coming out. They're pretty cool. Have you ever seen these books? You notice you don't have a lot of smoking women? They're just not, they're not quite as popular. But, um, so the smoking man comes apart and you take a little incense cone and I know you can't smell it through the television, but it smells so good and you light the incense cone. It doesn't really get a flame. It just starts to smoke. That's so cool. I mean, obviously it smells great. It, it, yeah, it comes in different scents and, um, there's a, yeah, there's a bunch of them but they're great. And then you put the top back on and the smoke comes out of the smoky man's. Wow. And we were talking earlier about some of your collectors. I mean, you've got folks coming from all over the place, right? We do, we um and you know, so many people make it their annual trip with the family. They take their Christmas card pictures on the porch and we take it for them in the sleigh. But we always say we have the best customers. They come in happy, they leave happy. They come in for their favorite things. Smoking man is are one of them the nutcrackers. Um We just got some more in because we sold out early this year. But yeah, everybody's got their favorite thing. They they they're looking for their dog ornament that looks like their dog. The little kids love the animal tree. Um We've got ornaments that are made in the US. They're beautiful glass ornaments that people just you know, you can buy for anybody. It's great stuff. You gotta come check out the historical Christmas barn here in Wilton, open seven days a week right now as we get close to Christmas, Merry Christmas, uh, back to the beans. Thanks so much, Mark.
