After a brutal winter, we're finally welcoming spring, and today on Main Street, Connecticut, we're celebrating the new season in Norwalk. Newswe, Connecticut's Mark Sudall is at Sweet Ashley's Ice Cream on East Avenue eating all the ice cream he can and none for us. I'm like crying about it. Don't worry, Aisha. I am going to bring some back, but yeah, I have had my fill already. Yeah, first day of spring, it's getting warmer. You might be thinking about some ice cream. Well, come on over to Sweet Ashley's and meet the owners, Frank and Judy Lanza. Thank you for being with us this morning. And uh you guys are just so famous for the homemade ice cream. You do it all right here on, on site. What, what do you have back there that you want to? So because we have so many flavors, we can't have everything in our case at once. So if you're undecided, we do have a flight, so you get a sampling of any four flavors. Here we have a lavender, we have a strawberry cheesecake, black forest, and grasshopper. So again, if you're ever undecided, know that we offer flights. We can dream up so many. Different flavors. We also are promoting our affogatos. So again, about that. What is that? So affogato is a scoop of any ice cream that you want. We today are going to pair it with our cannoli ice cream, and it is a shot of espresso. Uh huh. Look at that in the morning. Let's go topped with whipped cream. All right, Frank's good at this. Look at it. And a sprinkle of cocoa.s like you've got it all over her hand. Wow, that is cool. That looks too nice to eat. Wow, that's thank you very much. And what do you got there? Yes, so again for coming in this weekend up until Sunday, we are going to give away a quart of our cannoli ice cream. So anybody who comes in 5 o'clock Sunday, March 22nd, we will be doing the raffles. So again. In, drop your name and phone number in the bucket, and we'll see who wins this court. Now you came up with another new flavor that I guess is kind of uh kind of a Saint Patrick's Day kind of thing. Tell us all about that. Yeah, so our one of our seasonal flavors again for a limited time only is this Guinness toffee. It is made with a sweet cream. ice cream base. We are using a non-alcoholic Guinness which we boiled down to get the deepness of the flavor in there and added some Heath crunch in there, so it is very nice. You taste it. It starts with the flavor of the toffee and then 10 seconds later the flavor of the Guinness hits your tongue or your palate. I've got one right here. OK. Got the coffee. Ah, there it is. There's a Guinness. And what's great is I can eat this on the air because It's non-alcoholic. I can eat as much of it as I want to eat, and I'm gonna be just fine, nation. I'm sure you will enjoy that for the both of us.
