All right, we made it to Friday time for Main Street Connecticut when we visit our local cities and towns to showcase what they have to offer. This morning. We're in Milford news 12 Connecticut's Mark. Sudha is at scratch baking with more for us. Mark Good morning, Becky. Yeah, you can just smell the great aromas here this morning. Just delicious. I can't wait to try some. Evan Cassidy is joining us this morning. Thank you for being with us. Of course, he's got a great story. He's worked here for a while. He met his wife here who is behind the counter. They just got married in September. Congratulations. Thank you. Thank you very much. Awesome story. Speaking of love. Tell us about all the love you have out here for all your customers. I get why you talk about bakers have early start in the morning. About 2 a.m. three AM. Come in, start baking everything. We got a showcase here full of desserts that we do on a two week rotations. There's always something new coming and then we've got our staples which are coming out of the oven now. Um So scones muffins, you name it. We've got it. Um, our croissants are one of our favorite things to talk about here. It's a three day process from start to finish. So, a real labor of love that you can definitely taste once you've, once you get your hands on one and I think you had a good story too. You're telling me about your owner. Just got a grant. Yeah, pretty recently. She got a grant from the state for women owned businesses and we were able to purchase a deck oven. So now we've got a lot more opportunity to make things like sourdough breads, baguettes, really like heart baked products, which has been awesome. We love it ourselves and the customers are happy with them too. Yeah. Now you said that your hours are 7 to 3, Monday through Saturday, 7 to 3 and Sunday 7 to 1. And, I mean, I know, I know I've been here throughout the day. I mean, there's usually a line out the door. Yeah, they keep us busy, that's for sure. And certainly, you know, with the train right here, I'm sure you get a little. Yeah. Yeah, we have an ideal spot. It really doesn't get better. We've got a beautiful look at the, at the green, lots of foot traffic in the neighborhood surrounding. So I got to start to wrap this up bigger than my head. Yeah, it's our cinnamon walnut scone. Definitely a favorite. Oh, Becky. Not to round up some of these, I think for the station we're gonna see you in our next hour. Probably. There's more food involved, I'm sure. Well, we gotta keep you well fed mark. All right, thanks very much.

We're in Milford News 12 Connecticut's Mark Zall as at Billy Dee's Mark Good morning, Becky. Yeah, if you've heard of Billy Des Well, that's because they're well known in Shelton. They just opened up this location, uh, recently in the last year. Anyway, um, here in Milford and joining us this morning, Tiffany and her husband Julian. Thank you both for being with us. You guys own the place. And you told me an interesting story about when you were looking for a location here in Milford. Tell me about that. So we, um, have a location in Shelton and we took over that business a few years ago. And so we have been looking for a second location and so we spent a lot of time in Milford and I was at the stoplight right here and I noticed that this place was for rent. So after a few months of trying to go back and forth, you know, with the landlord, uh, we came in here and I looked at my brother and my husband and I said this is, this is it, this is the place. And so we signed the lease and never looked back and it's been a year in June and you've had, I mean, a line out the door already this morning. Yeah, tell me about some of your popular items. So our most popular I would say is the doubler. Um, it's double meat, double egg, double cheese. We also have the hangover. Yes, which is also very popular and it's double bacon egg American cheese with hash brown topper. Yeah. Now you said of course, you know, I know you're busy. You said you might have a doubler for us later. Yes, I will. It's a process. Yeah, I mean, you can't just, it takes time to make these things. It does. We make everything fresh to order. Um, our, our grease on, on our, we use a lot of bacon grease on the grill. Um, we have amazing staff back there cooking great breakfast. Awesome. Well, uh, if you're looking for a good breakfast sandwich, you got the place. Now right here in Milford at uh Billy Dee's. Come on down. All right. Thank you, Mark.
