Fresh bread is being baked on a massive scale every day in Paterson and shipped to customers across the East Coast.
The Bread Gal Bakery produces artisan breads, sandwich rolls, dinner rolls, bagels and muffins from its facility on the city's east side.
The company began nearly 30 years ago in Brooklyn before relocating to Paterson and eventually becoming The Bread Gal Bakery when owner Jessica Sillaro took over the business.
Today, the certified woman-owned company employs about 70 people, with Sillaro saying roughly 90% of the workforce lives in Paterson.
The bakery operates around the clock, producing thousands of loaves daily for restaurants, institutions and major companies, including Google and Bank of America.
Its products can also be found in Costco stores throughout the East Coast.
One of the bakery's signature products is its brioche bread, made with real butter and eggs in small batches.
Sillaro says the company's success comes from skilled workers and a commitment to quality ingredients and craftsmanship.
