As summer approaches, a New Jersey fencing company is preparing for its busiest season as homeowners focus on improving their yards.
Jan Fence in Pequannock Township supplies fencing across North and Central Jersey, offering wood, vinyl, aluminum and chain link options.
The family-owned business has been operating since 1955.
Thomas Miller, managing director, said the company has grown alongside changes in the fencing industry.
Jan Fence now installs more than 3,800 projects each year, according to the company.
While materials and designs have evolved, Miller said some aspects of the work remain unchanged.
He said digging fence post holes continues to be among the most difficult parts of the job.
Before installation, teams handle detailed measurements, design and planning for each project.
The fences are built in-house at the company’s facility in Pequannock.
Miller said projects are fabricated with custom heights, styles and measurements from start to finish.
He said the company also welds chain link and large commercial gates on site.
The company said no two fences are exactly alike, with each project designed for a customer’s specific needs.
