Lou Gehrig’s contract from the 1933 season is up for auction at Matawan-based Lelands Auction House.

"You don't really see too many player contracts. And when you do, you won't see the likes of Gehrig. To have him out there available to the public is unheard of,” says Keith Breitweiser, an acquisition specialist at Lelands.

The bidding on Gehrig’s contract ends on Saturday at 10 p.m.
