A Long Branch man faces multiple felony charges after an investigation linked him to five separate illegal dumping incidents at a Monmouth County commercial property.

Jovane Jordan, 28, was arrested on Tuesday, following a month-long inquiry by the Wall Township Police Department into unauthorized dumping at a business on Campus Parkway.

Between Aug. 12 and Sept. 8, officers responded to the Campus Parkway site on three separate occasions. Investigators found more than 10 cubic yards of debris—appearing to stem from cleared storage units—left at the property, costing the business owner more than $2,000 in cleanup and removal fees.

An investigation led by Detective Zach Honecker traced the dumped materials back to local storage facilities where contents had recently been sold at auction. Legal requests served on the facilities led officers to identify Jordan as the primary suspect.

Authorities also identified the suspect vehicle as a rack-body dump truck fitted with a snowplow and lacking visible license plates. On Sept. 15, after reports indicated the truck had returned to the area, investigators spotted Jordan operating the dump truck and a white box truck between Campus Parkway and a nearby location.

Detectives tracked the white box truck to Jordan’s residence in Long Branch. When officers approached Jordan, he initially resisted arrest before being safely taken into custody. His 2003 GMC 3500 dump truck was impounded pending civil forfeiture proceedings.

Jordan was charged with third-degree unlawful disposal of waste, third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, and municipal ordinance violations.
