        Local residents raise over $18,000 for World Polio Day

        Residents in Westchester are raising awareness about polio with some sweet treats.

        Residents in Westchester are raising awareness about polio with some sweet treats.
        Volunteers from Rotary District 72-30 sold doughnuts with purple icing for world polio day Thursday.
        The team raised $2,500 in sales, which was matched 7.5 times by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
        A total of over $18,000 was raised.
