Soccer fans packed the heart of Nanuet on Sunday to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup final during a community celebration filled with food, live music, family activities and plenty of excitement around the sport.

The event transformed Downtown Nanuet into a gathering place where residents and visitors could come together to enjoy one of the world's biggest sporting events.

The celebration also featured youth soccer clinics hosted by the Clarkstown Soccer Club. The clinics gave young athletes a chance to get involved in the sport while watching the world's best players compete for the championship.

While only one nation could lift the World Cup trophy, organizers said the event itself was a victory for the community by bringing neighbors together and highlighting the spirit of Nanuet and the surrounding Hudson Valley region.
