Long Island Rail Road service is suspended in both directions east of Babylon on the Montauk Branch after a person was struck by a train east of Sayville.
Riders are being encouraged by the
MTA to use alternate routes, including the Ronkonkoma Branch, where possible.
The following are currently affected:
- The 4:07 p.m. train from Penn Station to Montauk is operating 35-40 minutes late.
- The 4:27 p.m. train from Long Island City to Patchogue is delayed east of Sayville.
- The 4:30 p.m. train from Hunterspoint Avenue to Montauk is delayed at Sayville.
- The 5:13 p.m. train from Penn Station to Montauk is delayed at Babylon.
