Leaders of 5 LIRR unions say strike could be on horizon
27ds agoLong Island Rail Road riders will know if the largest union votes to authorize a strike come Monday.
The Locomotives Engineer’s Union and the four other unions will be talking about the next steps over the weekend.
They are holding out for a 16.5% raise over the next three years.
However, the MTA says its 9.5% offer is fair.
LIRR President Rob Free joins News 12 to talk about the MTA’s stance and how its preparing for a possible strike.
