Lindsay Clancy is scheduled to return to court Tuesday for the first time since her triple-murder case ended in a mistrial earlier this month.

The status conference in Plymouth, Massachusetts, is expected to provide insight into how the high-profile case will proceed after weeks of uncertainty.

Clancy, who grew up in Connecticut and attended Wallingford schools and Quinnipiac University, was accused of killing her three children. Her trial in Plymouth ended in a mistrial after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict.

Prosecutors have not announced whether they will seek a new trial. Clancy admitted to killing her children while suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Legal experts say both sides are likely evaluating whether another jury would reach the same conclusion as the first jury.

During Tuesday's hearing, prosecutors and the defense are expected to address several pending motions. Clancy's attorney is seeking to prevent another trial and obtain additional information about the holdout juror. If prosecutors decide to retry the case, a possible timeline for a new trial could also be discussed.
