Linden police detectives are investigating an incident involving multiple gunshots being fired late Friday night.

Officers arrived at a home along East 12th Street near South Wood Avenue after receiving the report.

Officers found that a home blocks away on Woodlawn Avenue had been struck by the gunfire.

No injuries were reported and detectives do not believe it was a random act of violence.

They say there is no known threat to the public.

The incident remains under investigation.
