A Brooklyn man has been arrested in connection with a 2021 acid attack that severely injured an Elmont woman.
As News 12 has reported, 21-year-old Nafiah Ikram was doused with acid while walking up her driveway in March of that year.
The Hofstra student suffered first- and second-degree burns to her face, right eye, arms and throat. She also had limited vision in one eye.
Authorities confirmed the apprehension of 29-year-old Terrell Campbell late Tuesday morning. He has since pleaded guilty to numerous charges.
Prosecutors say he is an aspiring rapper who allegedly mentioned a face burning in acid in his lyrics.
