The 18th annual Sticks for Soldiers Thanksgiving Lacrosse Classic on Saturday raised money and awareness for wounded combat veterans.
The event brought dozens of lacrosse teams to Fairfield Ludlowe High School.
"The veterans sacrifice a lot for us. They…keep us safe,” said one student. “…We just had Thanksgiving – a lot of guys are out doing their job while we get to stay home and eat some good food. So it's nice to get out here and have a tournament in honor of them."
