Students lined the halls at St. Bartholomew School in East Brunswick for one reason - cereal.
In a community-wide effort, students and their families came together to collect and donate boxes of cereal for neighbors facing hunger.
Nearly 1,200 boxes of cereal were carefully lined up throughout the school, stretching across hallways. Then, like a line of dominoes, they fell one by one.
This was a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together.
Organizers say cereal was chosen for a reason. Breakfast is the most overlooked meal, yet it’s essential for children.
All of the donated cereal will go directly to local food pantries, helping stock shelves and support families in need.
