A special ceremony will be held this weekend at the Jersey Shore to honor Hunter Schmidt, a local young man who died a year ago. Schmidt’s family will dedicate a new pavilion in his memory to celebrate his love of the shore and fishing. The project also includes a gazebo and benches at Jeffrey’s Creek duck pond, along with new gardens and flowers. The space will serve as a place for the community to gather and enjoy the water for years to come.
