A couple of Jersey guys just became NBA champions and legends.
New York Knicks forward Karl-Anthony Towns ("KAT") was born in Edison and raised in Piscataway.
The team's point guard is New Brunswick-born Jalen Brunson, who spent part of his childhood growing up in Cherry Hill while his father played for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Towns went to Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen. The school posted on X, "Here's a throwback to the last time KAT raised a trophy at Saint Joe's, the 2014 Gatorade NJ Basketball Player of the Year."
Fans will get the chance to meet and take photos with Towns at Dick's House of Sport in Jersey City on Tuesday.
