The city of Newark broke ground at Sal Bontempo Park on Wednesday, April 29.

This moment highlighted Newark’s continuous efforts to revitalize the city.

In collaboration with Bloomfield Avenue/Lower Broadway Alliance (BALBA), the group contributed $300,000 for the revitalization and improvement of the park.

The area will serve as a vibrant green space that manages stormwater to prevent flooding in the North Ward.
