The Amelia Earhart Award is given to high school cadets in the Civil Air Patrol. It is a pretty good judge of who is going to be a pilot one day – or who will work in aerospace.

Congratulations are in order to Ridge High School’s Jackson Fleming, Livingston’s Clair Gao and Wayne’s Shriaansh Sharma.

All of the students are part of the same squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.

There are around 32,000 cadets in the program nationwide. Only a few hundred get the Amelia Earhart Award.
