A 38-year-old Jersey City man is accused of directing a minor to sexually assault his younger sister and produce child sexual abuse and exploitation material, New Jersey officials announced.
“We must protect children from sexual predators,” said Attorney General Jennifer Davenport. “The allegations in this case are deeply concerning and underscore the very real dangers children can face online. We will continue to use every tool available to protect young people and hold accountable those who would target them.”
According to court documents, investigators received a CyberTip from the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation regarding a Discord chat in which a user allegedly directed a New Jersey child to sexually assault his younger sister.
Investigators later identified Drew as the adult male allegedly communicating with and meeting the child.
A search warrant for Drew and his residence was executed on Sept. 4.
