Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z, announced on Wednesday that he will be performing two concerts at Yankee Stadium this summer.
The two shows are dedicated to the anniversaries of his albums "The Blueprint" and "Reasonable Doubt."
Yankee Stadium is set to welcome the Brooklyn icon on July 10 and July 11. The surprise announcement has many long fans excited to go back in time and hear some of his classics from his debut album and his sixth studio album.
"It's gonna be really packed! Jay-Z has a really big audience," said fan Victoria Najjar.
July 10 will celebrate the 30th anniversary for “Reasonable Doubt,” with July 11 focusing on the 25th anniversary of “The Blueprint” – leaving a tough decision for fans if they can't make both.
"If I had to pick one, it would be “Reasonable Doubt” because it was one of those exciting, capturing times. It was all about how he made us feel," said Sabrina Cates.
"I think if he drops a list of who's showing up…That would kind of push us to pick a day more. I think because we don't know the lineup, it's making it a little difficult,” said Sophia Martinez.
Ticketing information has yet been released.
