An Orange County family is pushing to strengthen penalties for those who take a child's life.

The family of Jacob Freytes will gather outside the Bronx bodega where he was killed to call for "Jacob's Law."

The legislation would create stricter consequences when an adult recklessly kills a child.

The 12-year-old boy was killed by crossfire in Mount Eden last month.
