Police increased presence in Downtown Brooklyn Tuesday, one day after a woman was struck by a stray bullet in broad daylight at Albee Square.
The shooting happened around 2 p.m. Monday, near the Primark store, according to police.
The 30-year-old woman was hit in the leg and taken to the hospital in stable condition.
A fruit vendor who witnessed the shooting says she saw four young men running away.
The latest crime data shows overall crime in the area is down slightly this year compared to last, but residents say they still feel on edge.
Police have made no arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
