Rubble, dust, and debris fill what's left of 58-year-old Jeanette Osorio's floor in her apartment at 2090 Mohegan Ave. in the Bronx.
Osorio, who walks with a cane due to a disability, says months of water damage caused mold to form in her floors.
Once the wood was finally lifted, she said the whole floorboard was covered in mold and mildew and she had to completely strip the floors.
Osorio says she reached out to management but says they turned her away.
"She said 'I'm sorry we can't help you.' So, I have to live here? I have to live in these conditions," said Osario.
Ever since her floors were ripped out, she has had to wear a mask to protect her from breathing in the debris and said it's no way to live.
"I need to leave here... and I don't know what else to do," said Osorio.
Just one hour after leaving her apartment and contacting management, a spokesperson for Dolphin Property Services LLC reached out to News 12.
He said they are finally moving Osorio into temporary housing until the floors are fixed and are giving her a $200 gift card for food.
They believe the repairs should be completed at some point on Friday.
