The Somers community met at Reis Park Saturday for a vigil honoring the victims of last week’s deadly shooting.
Hundreds attended the event dedicated to Christina Raimondi and her sons, 15-year-old Michael and 13-year-old Matthew.
Police say the three were shot in their home on Monday night. Michael died of his injuries, while Christina and Mathew were seriously hurt.
The suspected shooter was identified by authorities as Fernando Andres Jimenez Meza.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials say Meza is a Chilean citizen who is in the country illegally. He was previously deported in 2004 and returned to the United States at an unknown time.
He now faces charges for murder and attempted murder, according to authorities.
